A broad white-sand beach inside the Vieques refuge, also known as Red Beach, with clear water and picnic shelters.
Caracas is one of the more accessible refuge beaches on Vieques, reached by road within the former Navy lands. Shelters and a wide sandy arc make it popular, but gates close on schedules and unexploded-ordnance restrictions are absolute. Never leave approved roads or marked visitor areas.
