• Visitor tips: the display name and tip you submit, plus an optional private email address if you want us to be able to contact you about it.
• Promotion interest: your name, email address, business name, business type, and comments when you ask to hear about future promotional opportunities.
• Other communications: information you send when contacting us about privacy, corrections, or the directory.

Information collected through use of the site

• Search terms, selected filters, result counts, and the time of a search.
• Location-page visits, referring page URLs when available, and timestamps.
• Basic technical request information such as IP address and browser user-agent. For the site’s database analytics and abuse controls, these values are combined and stored as a one-way hash rather than stored as a raw IP address.
• Session information used to protect public forms against forged or automated submissions.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information or information you are not authorized to share.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information in these limited circumstances:

Verified business information intended for a directory listing—such as a business phone, address, email, or website—may be published. A submitter’s private contact email is not displayed as part of the listing merely because it was supplied through the submission form.

The website also maintains limited first-party search and page-view records as described above. Links and features may take you to third-party services—for example maps, social-sharing sites, reservation providers, online ordering, or a listed business’s website. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies. Their practices are not controlled by this policy.

6. Retention and security

We record aggregate advertising interactions, including when an advertising placement is viewed or clicked and visits to our promotion information page. These records include the placement, page path, time, and a one-way hashed visitor identifier; they help us measure advertising performance.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to review submissions, maintain directory records, prevent abuse, understand site usage, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention may differ by record type and may continue in backups for a limited period.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted database privileges, prepared database queries, input validation, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and hashed visitor identifiers. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

• You may decline to provide optional information. A valid email is required when submitting a new location.
• You can configure your browser to reject or remove cookies, but protected forms may not function correctly without the session cookie.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with a submission, subject to verification and applicable legal exceptions.
• You may report incorrect public listing information from the applicable location page.

8. Children’s privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

We may update this policy as the website and its practices evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website when appropriate.
