Centro Ceremonial Indígena de Caguana

Centro Ceremonial Indígena de Caguana preserves one of the Caribbean's most important Taíno archaeological landscapes. Set in the mountains of Utuado near the Tanamá River, the site contains ten ceremonial plazas, stone monoliths, and numerous petroglyphs connected to Indigenous gathering, ceremony, dance, and ball games. A small museum adds archaeological context and displays artifacts associated with the site. The Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña has administered and protected Caguana since 1955.
