Hacienda Buena Vista

Hacienda Buena Vista is a protected historic property in the mountains of Ponce that interprets Puerto Rico's agricultural past within a subtropical forest. Guided experiences follow old water channels toward Salto Vives and explore restored structures more than a century old. At the heart of the hacienda is a rare hydraulic turbine that still demonstrates how river power drove period machinery used to process crops. Para la Naturaleza also connects the site's coffee, cacao, plantain, citrus, and shade agriculture to the lives and labor that shaped the estate.
